Why every NutraBrain patient works directly with me

Direct Physician Care

At NutraBrain Clinic, every consultation, treatment decision, and follow-up is personally overseen by Dr. David Mahjoubi. No rotating providers. No support-ticket medicine. No one-size-fits-all protocols.

A different approach to telehealth

Our standard of care

Most online care is designed to scale. NutraBrain is designed around the patient.

Here, the model is simple and deliberate: every applicant is reviewed by a physician, and every treatment plan is built for the person it belongs to. Your history, your goals, your current medications, and how you actually respond to treatment all shape what we prescribe — the format, the dose, and the schedule. When something needs to change, it changes because a doctor looked at your case, not because a protocol rolled over to the next month.

That is the entire premise of the practice. It is also why the experience feels less like opening an account and more like becoming someone’s patient.

Why physician continuity matters

Continuity of care

When the same physician stays with you over time, care compounds. Nothing has to be re-explained, and every adjustment is made by someone who already knows your history.

The value of continuity

  • One physician who knows your full history, not a rotating roster
  • Treatment adjustments informed by how you’ve responded over time
  • More consistent, better-understood outcomes
  • A genuine therapeutic relationship built on trust

The value of physician oversight

  • Every plan reviewed and authored by a board-certified physician
  • Screening and clinical judgment at every decision point
  • Direct answers to your questions between visits
  • Care matched to your needs, not to operational convenience
A man wearing a white lab coat over navy scrubs sits on a stool and smiles, with a framed picture on the wall behind him.

Why we limit enrollment

By design

To protect this standard of care, NutraBrain accepts a limited number of new patients each month. Every consultation, every treatment plan, and every follow-up requires direct physician involvement, and there is an honest ceiling on how many people one physician can care for that way and care for them well.

We would rather maintain that quality than increase volume. When capacity for the month is reached, new enrollment pauses until the following month. It is not a tactic — it is simply what direct physician care requires.

What patients can expect

The experience

Personalized evaluation

Every patient receives a comprehensive physician review before any treatment begins.

Individualized treatment planning

Protocols are tailored to the patient — format, dose, and schedule chosen for you.

Ongoing monitoring

Your progress is followed throughout treatment, with adjustments made as needed.

Direct access

You communicate with the practice directly — not a call-center-style support queue.

Is NutraBrain right for you?

Candidacy

NutraBrain provides physician-guided ketamine care for adults seeking individualized treatment under the direction of a board-certified physician. Patients we commonly help include those experiencing:

  • Treatment-resistant depression
  • Anxiety
  • PTSD
  • Physician-guided ketamine care
Not every applicant is accepted. Appropriate screening is part of responsible medical practice, and there are cases where ketamine is not the right tool. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and, where we can, point you toward more appropriate care.

Important medical disclosure: Dr. David Mahjoubi, MD recommends that patients first see a psychiatrist for an adequate period to assess response to standard treatments for depression, anxiety, and PTSD (and a pain-management physician for chronic pain, where applicable), and recommends ongoing psychiatric involvement during ketamine therapy, as he is not a psychiatrist. Ketamine is a prescription medication provided only after evaluation and at the prescriber’s clinical discretion; not everyone is a candidate.
